“What is most meaningful to me in doing this is seeing something that I wrote making the player happy. The younger players whom I have done articles on, it is nice to see my work drawing attention to them and getting their names out there. For players of hockey’s past, I truly enjoy archiving their career and assembling something that their families and loved ones can appreciate” ~Nathaniel (Nate) A. Oliver
Author of hockey related blog articles for the website, “Musings of a Hockey Enthusiast”. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Nate is a lifelong hockey and Buffalo Sabres fan. An enthusiast and follower of women’s hockey and international hockey as well. Career highlights:
- 2011 World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo, New York USA
- 2015 Women’s U-18 World Championships in Buffalo, New York USA
- 2016 Women’s U-18 World Championships in St. Catharines, Ontario CA
It is important to Nate that the players’ stories be recorded and archived. For him, it is the truest pleasure to talk hockey with the players and hear them tell their stories. Hockey players are oftentimes the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Nate has been very fortunate to have met many amazing people by doing this, including some of his own hockey heroes.
